Entries must displace 1,000cc (61 cubic inches) or less, and have a production year no later than 1998.

This category includes gas-sipping econocars alongside pure racers.
All must displace less than 1,800cc (110 cubic inches.) and have a production year no later than 1998.
While there's been a presence of electric vehicles since the 19th Century, qualifying entries in this category must be 20 years old or newer. Also, vehicles converted to electric with a production year no later than 2003 are also eligible.
The most interesting vehicle to embody the Little Car spirit which DOES NOT technically meet the entry rules for TLC
A tribute to well-preserved vehicles.
The vehicle should be in good condition with most of its original factory paint intact, and a production year no later than 1998.
An "Atta Boy" for a particularly nice partial restoration/work-in-progress,
regardless of the displacement class or power source. Must have a production year no later than 1998.
Recognition for the best presentation of an entry. Appropriate accessories laid out and nice photo history are encouraged.

A totally subjective award for the entry that best delivers that warm, fuzzy feeling inside, delivers great satisfaction, and makes you break into a grin, or sometimes even outright laughter. Must have a production year no later than 1998.
Any vehicle that meets age (production year no later than 1998) and displacement rules is eligible for this top honor. Judges will seek out the car, van, or truck that is stopping spectators in their tracks, everyone's favorite to use as a selfie background, and the one that stands out amongst the others in a sea of Little Cars.
